Job Search

December 9, 2010

Last week I did a Defining and Branding seminar for people who are searching for work. The people who hosted the seminar, Mark and Dottie from the Buffalo Niagara branch of Career Partners, tell me that most jobs are obtained through networking. The concept of defining and branding yourself like a business owner went over very well with these people. My book, Chief Life Officer, where I walk the reader through the process of treating their life like they are the Chief Life Officer of a business called Me, Inc. is very compatible with how Mark and Dottie teach their clients to consider their job search as a business. Creating and using a defining statement for yourself can be very inticing when talking to someone who wants to know what you do. Skip boring anyone with long drawn out descriptions of your career and cut right to the chase with a one sentence “catch them” pharase. Remember, all you want is for them to stop and ask questions. Then you can go into more detail.

Psychcess Tip of the Day

May 26, 2010

Make sure that every day you have more positive to say and think than you do negative. Cynicism and negativity is associated with many ailments and of course with unhappiness. If you find yourself looking for the negative in people and events, stop yourself. Rethink your surroundings and maybe get some support from the positive, optimistic people you know. You may want to consider some professional coaching or counseling. Your health and relationships will thank you. Check out Peak Of Success for more tips (www.peakofsuccess.com).

Welcome to the Psychcess Coach

February 9, 2010

Why do I call myself the Psychcess Coach? I am a counselor and a business consultant. I balance sound pscychological lessons with business success principles. My book, Chief Life Officer: Your Life Is The Most Important Business You’ll Ever Own (CLO), uses business as a metaphor of life, outlining people’s inner “departments” and how they function best through an authentic, shared mission. So if you want Psychological wellness and fitness combined with good business success ideas, tune in and contribute. Think of it as a Capital Investment in your Me, Inc.
